Clubhouse Alterations

This project required a series of alterations and additions to the existing Tara Iti clubhouse. The original building was designed by Cheshire Architects, and the new work was required to integrate sensitively within that context.

The additions address back-of-house functionality — a staff office, staffroom, dry goods storage, scullery, walk-in cool store, and a discrete covered entry — with revised circulation providing clear separation between kitchen and dining.

The dining room is extended into an adjacent outdoor area, with all materials and finishes needing to blend seamlessly through. A temperature-controlled wine room, accessed from the dining room, is fitted with custom joinery and racking to store and display wine, all beneath a vaulted timber ceiling.

The design and construction was delivered within a tight off-season window with an immovable completion date.
